Lashes Keep Falling Off. What can You Do?

There are a lot of factors as to why lashes just do not last on a client. It can be very frustrating for you and your client and could cost you money with fixing lashes or refunding your work.

So What Can You Do?

Here is a checklist of things to consider when having this issue:

  • Adhesive is only up to 2 months old? Tip when opening write he date on the bottle ALWAYS!- (This is like when you get told to turn the computer off and on again to fix a problem lol)
  • After or product your client is using is not what you have recommended. Please ask them for a list of products.
  • Seasonal shedding – lasting for a few weeks or 2 infill sessions.
  • Medications – a change in hormones, skin conditions will effect lash health.
  • Overall health – which can effect hair!
  • Cleansing your clients lashes – not rinsing excess makeup remover off.
  • Prime- this could help remove dirt and oils. You can also do this during the service
  • Oily eye lids… you will see the lashes slid on application. This can be a room condition problem also.
  • Rooms humidity is not in range. Get a humidity device.
  • You didn’t store adhesive correctly- airtight container or bag with moisture absorber. Clean nozzle also!
  • Client that pick lashes! if the health deteriorates this can be a conversation you need to have.
  • Natural lashes are weak and cant hold the lashes you apply.
  • You may have changed how you apply lashes resulting in one eye or sections not adhered to properly. TIP: You can use 2 tiles if you need to apply adhesive to your lashes on the side you are applying to the NL.

What we can leave you with….

This situation is very frustrating. BUT communicate with your clients. If a client complains of low retention, contact the other clients to ask if they too have had issues to rule out your products or applications.

From here work with your client and move them to a 2 week infill if needed to see if it is a seasonal thing or a lash health problem. Remember if you have lash health problems you need to look at application of healthier lash weights and lash growth serum to build strength. All of our clients use these!

You will learn so much about this in our training!

The lash growth serums are available on our product website www.beautyexpressed.com.au
